Maalox® Regular Strength Antacid Suspension provides fast, effective relief in two ways. An antacid neutralizes excess stomach acid and an anti-gas ingredient reduces gas pain and pressure.

Treatment of moderate symptoms of burning sensation in the stomach or chest area with accompanying bloating and/or gas pain. Usually occurs after a meal.


Medicinal Ingredients: Each teaspoonful (5 mL) contains 200 mg magnesium hydroxide, 200 mg aluminum hydroxide dried gel (equivalent to 153 mg aluminum hydroxide) and 20 mg simethicone.

Non-medicinal Ingredients: butylparaben, flavour, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, propylparaben, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium saccharin, sorbitol and water. Na+ content: 2.84 mg per 5 mL.
 
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Do not take more than 16 teaspoonfuls in a 24 hour period. Do not take this product for more than two weeks, or if symptoms recur, unless directed by a physician. Do not take this product within two hours of another medication because the effectiveness of the other medication may be altered. Individuals with intestinal obstruction or kidney disease should not take this product except on the advice of a physician. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING.
Adults: 2 to 4 teaspoonfuls, four times a day or as directed by a physician. Do not take more than 16 teaspoonfuls in a 24 hour period.
